Alfa Romeo: code 152. Size 595mm x 840mm - 23½" x 33" (A1). This stunning art deco Alfa Romeo poster is a recreation of the original which primarily promoted the brand name but featured the bonnet and grille of the Alfa 8C 2900 (circa 1935) the fastest pre-war automobile. Designed as a racing car, it encompassed all-independent suspension and double overhead camshaft engine with twin superchargers. Managed by Enzo Ferrari, it won countless victories in the Brazilian GP, Spa 24 and Mille Miglia. The stark colours in this poster have created a dramatic effect and note how ingeniously the art deco ‘ALFA’ graphic at the top cleverly emulates the lines in the radiator grille. Alvis Speed Twenty: code 170. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The Speed Twenty was built from 1932 to 1936. With its dashing, low-built coachwork; it offered sparkling performance together with handsome looks and a hearty exhaust note. It was the first British car to offer a synchromesh gearbox and the 4.3 Litre model had an easy 100 MPH+ performance with great acceleration to match. The Speed Twenty was well built with good quality materials and the range was aimed at the top end of the Sports Saloon market. In fact, it was even considered to be a serious rival to Rolls Royce. The Speed 20 and its larger Speed 25 derivative are considered the best and most glamorous cars ever made by Alvis. Our poster, with its wonderful art deco nuances, was recreated from original and very rare Alvis artwork. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !

Aston Martin DB4: code 142. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The Aston Martin DB4 was unveiled at the London Motor Show in 1958 and production continued until 1963. A convertible model was also built and this is now extremely rare. The DB4 was universally applauded as the finest high performance GT car in the U.K. despite its high price tag of almost £4000 (the drophead coupe was £400 more). This superb poster features both models and is an absolute 'must' for enthusiasts of this exclusive and luxurious British motor car. Aston Martin DB5: code 143. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Perhaps the most famous of all the Aston models - Sean Connery drove one loaded with machine guns, revolving number plates and ejector seat in the film 'Goldfinger' and Prince Charles also owns one. The DB5 was made from 1963 to 1965: capable of a top speed of nearly 150 mph, the sleek saloon was £4250 in 1964. The elegant, rare convertible - only around 125 were ever built - would have cost you £4570 in 1964. Both models are featured in this exquisite and nostalgic 1960's style poster. Aston Martin DB7 GT: code 169. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1) Back in 1959, the DB4 had a lighter, faster brother in the DB4GT variant. Soon after the DB7i6 was introduced, AML saw the potential for a stripped out, tuned DB7 with the idea that owners would participate in a one make race series for 'gentleman racers' - in effect, a DB4GT for the 1990's. The first DB7 GT was developed by Dave Richard's Prodrive organisation. Following this, AML's Customer Service Division fully rebuilt it. The car was painted Almond Green metallic with white roundels and a yellow band around the grille, reminiscent of the 1950's DB3S's and DBR2. Sadly the project was not proceeded with and the race series abandoned too. This car, prototype 001 and the Prodrive example was sold by AML in 1996, still with it's A7 AML registration number. The car then appeared in the 2004 Bonhams auction where it was sold for just £78,500; a small sum for a unique AML development car. Information courtesy Bonhams 2004 auction catalogue. Aston Martin Lagonda: code 204. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). In October 1976, Aston Martin stunned the motoring world by unveiling its futuristic, sleek 'wedge-shaped' Lagonda. Designed by Williams Towns this fabulous model was packed with new technology including LED digital instruments, touch sensitive switches and electronic memory seats. Production didn't begin until 1978 as it took an enormous amount of work to get the sophisticated electronics to function correctly. Indeed, during the first two years of production, only 16 cars were built. Our fabulous poster has been recreated exactly as per the original. Be sure to view our other Aston posters; see product codes Nos. 142, 143, 169, 200, 201, 202, 203, 205, 261 & 262. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !
Aston Martin Lagonda: code 205. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). In October 1976, Aston Martin stunned the motoring world by unveiling its futuristic, sleek 'wedge-shaped' Lagonda. Designed by Williams Towns, this fabulous model was packed with new technology including LED digital instruments, touch sensitive switches and electronic memory seats. Aston Martin V8 Grand Tourer: code 262. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). In 1978 Aston Martin finally unveiled its V8 Volante model. Available to royalty, the rich and famous, it came with a power operated hood, strengthened body shell and wood veneer trim. Power was derived from the same 5340cc engine as the Saloon with either 5 speed manual or automatic transmission. Note the previous air intake on the bonnet now blanked off to form a 'power bulge'. The term 'Supercar' has always been synonymous with Aston Martin and this model in particular was a justifiable testament to AM's amazing skills and innovations. It was also designed to be the fastest production convertible available ... swift be thy flight indeed. Our faithful recreation of the original poster will swiftly fly to you if you order now. Be sure to view our other Aston posters; see product codes Nos. 142, 143, 169, 200, 201, 202, 203, 204, 205 & 261. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !
Aston Martin V8 Saloon: code 203. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Unveiled at the Birmingham Motor Show in October 1978, the Series 4 was code named 'Oscar India' (October Introduction). Capable of a top speed of 146 mph, automatic transmission was virtually standard - thus AML started calling it 'The V8 Saloon'. Note the bonnet scoop now finally closed, leaving a pleasantly sculptured 'power bulge'. GKN wheels were standard initially but were replaced by the more aesthetically attractive BBS cross-spokes (seen here) in 1983. One of the principle external changes was the incorporation of a neat, integral spoiler (overseen by William Towns the original designer). During its seven and a half years in production, a total of 291 were built. This tremendous, atmospheric image somehow invokes a certain ‘Hovis connotation'! Rest assured, our faithfully recreated poster won’t cost you much bread. Be sure to view our other Aston posters; see product codes Nos. 142, 143, 169, 200, 201, 202, 204, 205, 261 & 262. Aston Martin V8. Individually made... code 201. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Founded in 1914, Aston Martin is justifiably recognised as a leading manufacturer of luxury automobiles. The original Aston Martin V8 (DBS) was launched in 1969 and continued in production until 1989. The Series 3 featured here was built from 1973 to 1978 and each one was “Individually made for you”! The bonnet bulge acted as an air intake (later blanked off on the Series 4). Interestingly, production of the V8 temporarily ceased from December 1974 to May 1976, when AML ran into financial difficulties. In total, 967 V8s were produced until the improved Series 4 (Oscar India) was unveiled in October 1978. The tag 'Supercar' was attached to the V8 as it was capable of a breathtaking 170 mph. This beautiful poster is an identical recreation and it too will take your breath away every time you view. Be sure to view our other Aston posters; see product codes Nos. 142, 143, 169, 200, 202, 203, 204, 205, 261 & 262. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !
Aston Martin Vantage: code 202. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). An absolute rocket of a road machine, the Aston V8 Vantage was capable of 170 mph. Due to its enormous speeding potential; Aston had to seriously re-think its aerodynamics due to the risk of ‘lift’ at such high speeds. A large front air dam and a rear spoiler were implemented to combat this hazard. Our beautiful poster features a V8 circa 1977 and fitted with twin Cibie driving lamps recessed into the blanked off radiator grille. To prevent over-heating, air was ducted from beneath the front bumper to cool the radiator. We think our faithfully recreated poster is pretty cool too. Be sure to view our other Aston posters; see product codes Nos. 142, 143, 169, 200, 201, 203, 204, 205, 261 & 262. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !

Austin Seven: code 236. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The Seven was originally developed back in 1922 by Stanley Edge and Herbert Austin as a low cost form of transport. It was aimed at families who might otherwise have travelled by motorcycle and sidecar. With its 750cc engine this small, tough and reliable British-built motor, changed the course of automobile design. It also proved the viability of a small-capacity four-cylinder car. Incredibly, around 7,000 are still in service today. There were many derivatives including Chummy, Swallow, Ruby saloon, Cabriolet, Sports, Tourer and even a van. Production ceased in 1939. Our poster has been recreated exactly as per the original and very colourful Austin artwork. Order your copy now; we’re certain you’ll be absolutely delighted. Designed by Sir Alec Issigonis and following his success with the Mini, Issigonis set out to design a more sophisticated car which incorporated even more advanced features and innovations. In common with the Mini, the 1100 utilised the BMC A-Series engine, mounted transversely to employ front wheel drive. An 1100 estate version followed in 1966. This was called 'The Countryman' in the Austin version and 'The Traveller' for the Morris. Our poster has been recreated exactly as per the original. Special Offer today. Austin/Morris 1100: code 229. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The Morris 1100 Mk 1 was produced from August 1962 to June 1974. With styling by Pininfarina and featuring front disc brakes plus an innovative suspension system called “Hydrolastic”, the 1100 was consistently the UK's best-selling car throughout the 1960s. Subsequent Mk 2 and Mk 3 models were produced but the Hydrolastic system was exclusive to the Mk 1. Our poster has been recreated exactly as per the original. Austin/Morris 1800: code 230. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Tough and rugged, the Austin/Morris 1800 was built from 1964 to 1975 and was colloquially known as the "Landcrab". The 1800 was voted European Car of the Year for 1965. The interior was spacious and minimalist. Both Alec Issigonis and Pininfarina worked on its exterior design and the on-board technology was way ahead of its time. This included Hydrolastic suspension and an early example of anti-lock brakes which operated via a valve which was triggered if one set of wheels began to lock up, thus transferring braking force between front and rear axles. With a top speed of 90 mph, it offered great road holding and cornering powers plus an exceptionally strong body shell. Our delightful, nostalgic poster was identically recreated as per the original. Annual production of motorcycles soared from 12,000 to 59,000 and car production from 17,000 units to more than 67,000 per year. BMW Z1: code 265. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Launched in 1988 with a price tag of around £39,625, the aerodynamic BMW Z1 (the ‘Z' stood for 'zunkuft' - German for ‘future') was a two-seat roadster with a top speed of 140 mph. The Z1 featured unusual doors which instead of opening in a conventional manner, actually dropped down into the door sills. Initial demand was so strong that BMW had 5,000 orders before production even began. A four wheel drive model was also designed but never produced. Only 8,000 Z1s were built and they were all LHD although we believe that a RHD conversion was possible. Production ceased in 1991 thus making this car a very desirable modern-day classic. Probably the most archetypal French vehicle ever built; during the 60's & 70's a generation of impoverished students loved the simplistic engineering and amazing mpg. Five million models were produced up to 1990 when production ceased. Citroen DS & ID Convertible (one of a pair): code 127. Size 840mm x 594mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The superb image in this poster would have been technically quite difficult to achieve in the early 1960's. The fashionable, grainy effect was created on purpose so that it would romantically enhance the misty, forest scene. The fact that it worked so well is a credit to the original photographer. Note the small chateau looming out of the mist to the left of the image. Be sure to view our other DS / ID poster, product code: No 123. Special Offer today. Concorde - ORIGINAL Poster commissioned by B.A. code 161. Size 595mm x 422mm (23.2" x 16.5" inches) On 2nd March 1969, aviation history was made with the first test flight of Concorde 001. Designed to carry around 100 passengers at 1350mph, the beautiful lines of this delta winged, supersonic craft captured the imagination of millions. On 25th July 2000, disaster struck; an Air France Concorde crashed. Concorde's final scheduled flight was on 30th August 2003. This poster too has an interesting history. Only 500 were printed for staff members and passengers on the final flight. Unfortunately, they arrived too late to meet the disembarking passengers, so B.A. allegedly refused to pay for them. The printers subsequently sold them to recoup their loss. We secured 100. When they’re sold, they, like Concorde, will be gone forever. This is a true collector’s item and may well increase in value. David Brown Tractors: code 212. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The David Brown Company was founded in 1860 making wooden gears for textile mills. A collaboration with Harry Ferguson in 1936 resulted in the legendary Ferguson-Brown Tractor. The first David Brown model was exhibited at the 1939 Royal Show but production was thwarted due to the outbreak of WW2. However, small quantities of aircraft towing and recovery vehicles were built. In 1946, tractor production resumed. David Brown acquired Aston Martin in 1947 and Lagonda in 1948. In 1972 the David Brown Company was sold to the American Tenneco Corporation. Our poster which was recreated from original D.B. artwork traces the unique history of these fine tractors. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !
De Dion Bouton: code 206. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). At the end of the 19th century, Comte Albert de Dion and Georges Bouton founded de Dion-Bouton Motor Company and began building steam-powered automobiles in 1882. In 1895, the company began producing a small single-cylinder petrol driven car, 'La Petite Voiture'. By 1900, de Dion-Bouton was the largest automobile manufacturer in the world. The company produced 400 cars and 3200 engines that year and became the first company to mass-produce a V8 35 hp engine in 1910. Our vibrant poster, which was faithfully recreated from the original, features a young woman at the helm of an early de Dion with a somewhat fed-up-looking chauffeur in the passenger seat. The advertising message was clear. Such was the pleasure of driving a de Dion, you just had to drive it yourself! Our colourful poster will give you much pleasure every time you view. De Tomaso Pantera: code 222. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Launched in 1971 with a price tag of around $10,000, the Pantera (Italian for Panther) was produced by the De Tomaso company of Italy. Designed by famed stylist Tom Tjaarda, it could accelerate to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. With its similar mid engine, it was seen as a serious rival to Ferrari; certainly its body styling was a superb piece of motoring sculpture. In late 1971, Ford began importing hand-built Carrozzeria Vignale bodied Panteras for the American market. A total of 1,007 Panteras reached the USA that year. In all, about 7,260 Panteras were built and even Elvis Presley owned one. Production ceased in the early Nineties. Today, Panteras are extremely sought after and are far cheaper to own and run than Ferraris, Maseratis and Lamborghinis. We faithfully recreated this fabulous poster from original and exceedingly rare, De Tomaso artwork. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !

Ford Consul Classic 315: code 258. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). In 1962, its 1340cc engine was up rated to 1500cc and a 4-door model was also offered. The styling of the Consul was quintessentially 1960's and together with good performance and excellent handling, this family car was destined to be a sure winner. However, when Ford launched the Ford Cortina in 1962, it was seemingly and rather puzzlingly so, in direct competition to the Consul! Production of the Consul ceased in September 1963 after only 111,225 had been built. Our stunning poster was recreated exactly as per the original and extremely rare Ford artwork. Jaguar 3.5 Litre Type M Saloon: code 279 Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). In 1950 Jaguar announced the Mk VII saloon; with an XK engine fitted, it was much larger and more powerful than the outgoing Mk V. Despite its large bulbous looks, considerable weight (two tons) and a ten foot long body, the Mk VII performed and handled superbly with a top speed of 100mph. It also featured contemporary styling elements typical of the early 1950's and the interior was well equipped with the usual wood and leather expected from of a car in this class. Amongst the options available were automatic & overdrive gearboxes plus a race proven “C-type” cylinder head. In 1954, the Mk VII was superseded by the updated Mk Vll “M”. Just over 10,000 were built until production ceased in 1957. This wonderful poster, which was illustrated by renowned artist Frank Wootton, was faithfully reproduced by us exactly as per the original. Interesting Footnote: We’re fairly certain that two of the figures depicted in this illustration are actually Edward Vl and Wallis Simpson. It is known that Mrs Simpson owned a Mark Vll. Jaguar 3.8 E-Type: code 133. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). In 1961, Jaguar launched the 'E' Type (XK-E) at the Geneva Motor Show. Beautiful and affordable, just £2,097 15s 10d ($3,400) the motoring world was stunned. The 'E' is arguably the greatest British sports car ever made. With a top speed of 150 mph it was a joy to drive, thrilling and exhilarating. Ownership was also directionally proportionate to attraction of the fairer sex! Our poster has been faithfully reproduced from the original printers' plates used for the 3.8 showroom poster which was produced in 1962 – note the number plate E 62. Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Coupe: code 144. Size 595mm x 750mm - 23½" x 29½". The flowing lines of this classic coupe remain timeless … beauty born from the symphony of the wind. No other car compares and no other car is as elegant. The E-Type is justifiably recognised as a work of art; in fact, the 4.2 Coupe is the only car that's been on permanent display at New York's Museum of Modern Art. Jaguar originally used this showroom poster circa 1967; the ship used for the dramatic backdrop was 'The Canberra'. The 4.2 Coupe was a bargain at $4500; so too is our recreation; at this price, it's a steal! Be sure to view our other Jaguar posters. We have several other E-type ones too, notably product codes 133, 145 & 267. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !
Jaguar E-Type Series 3: code 267. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The E-type shell was originally designed by an aerodynamics engineer and with its large array of dashboard switches, the cabin looked and felt like the cockpit of an aircraft. Performance too was ‘jet-like’ with a top speed of over 145mph. In 1971, the Series III Jaguar E-type was introduced with a new 5.3 litre, V12 cylinder engine. It was available in either fixed head coupe or convertible. Seen here is the convertible version with hardtop. Notable body style changes were flared wheel arches and a slatted front grill. Production ceased in 1974/5, after 72,520 examples had been built. Never before and possibly never again will a car capture the hearts of millions as did the E-type Jaguar. Happily, our faithfully recreated poster will cheer you every time you view! Be sure to view our other Jaguar posters. We have several other E-type ones too, notably product codes 133, 144 & 145. Jaguar E-Type V12: code 145. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Ten years after the original 3.8 was unveiled, Jaguar launched the Series III E-Type. A beefy V12 engine turned this car into a virtual rocket! Easy to handle with power steering & larger wheels, it was a high performance bargain at $7,599. The V12 sadly marked the end of the E-Type; production ceased in 1974/5. Its demise ended a motoring era. No other car has ever caught the public’s imagination in the same way as the E-Type. Luckily, you can still recapture your memories with this exact recreation of the original, very rare showroom poster. Note the little boy (with a matching red hat) peeping through the window. Jaguar Mark Ten Saloon: code 228. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Launched in 1961, the same year as the E-type, this was a luxury saloon (some would say majestic) with a hand-built appearance. With its bulging sides - it was over 6 foot wide and almost 17 foot long - it was hard to believe this car was mass-produced. Its opulent interior incorporated an abundance of leather and walnut and the prestige of owning one was akin to ownership of a Rolls Royce. The automatic gear change was situated on the steering column and it could rocket from 0-60 in around 10 seconds. In 1966, the Mark Ten was strangely renamed the 420G. A total of 25,000 were manufactured until 1970 and was the forerunner to the XJ6. Our showroom poster was recreated identically as per the original ... imagine the prestige of owning one! Jaguar XJ-SC V12: code 250. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The first XJ-S appeared in 1975 with a choice of a manual or automatic transmission. A luxury GT coupe with an incredibly smooth ride, it was the replacement for the sadly-missed E-type. A new high-efficiency engine was fitted in 1981 and the XJ-S became the fastest automatic car in the world with a top speed of 155 mph. In 1982, the new V12 XJ-S won first and second places in the Tourist Trophy race at Silverstone. The V12 XJ-SC emerged in 1985; a two-seat targa-type model, it was replaced with a two-seat full convertible in 1988. In 1985, XJS drivers John Goss and Armin Hahne won the James Hardie Bathurst 1000 motor race in Australia. The last XJS rolled off the production line in April 1996. Our extremely colourful poster is an exact recreation of the original and will look incredibly smooth wherever you choose to display it. Jaguar XJS 4.0 Litre: code 227. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The XJS was one of the last of the grand touring cars built for effortless, long-distance and comfortable motoring. The cabin was luxuriously appointed with leather and wood trim and this top-of-the-range car was capable of very high speeds. In May 1991, the XJS was revised with new rear windows, wings, lights and instruments. A new 4.0 litre engine replaced the 3.6 giving rocket-like performance … a fact that obviously wasn’t lost on the advertising agency who likened it to the original E-Type. Our charming and nostalgic poster is a faithful recreation of the original and features a 1959 Li 125/150 Series ll model which had a top speed of 65mph. Lambretta Scooter: code 172. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1) The Lambretta was originally designed by Ferdinando Innocenti who had a vision of cheap, reliable transport that afforded better weather protection than a motorcycle. Production of his scooters began in 1947 and the first was known as Model A which was a tubular framework Heath Robinson affair! However, 120 MPG was achieved which ensured its success as petrol was in short supply. In 1949, Model B was produced followed by Model C etc. The Innocenti Corporation continued to improve its product. In 1952 Model 125 LD appeared with a top speed of 47 mph. In 1954, Innocenti introduced a 150-cc engine followed in 1957/58 with its Li 125/150 models. Our poster is an exact recreation of the original and features a PAN AM pilot astride an LI 125/150 model circa 1959. Lambrettas - 4 models: code 221. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Designed by Ferdinando Innocenti, the first Lambretta rolled off the production line in 1947 and was applauded as a cheap method of transportation in post war Italy. Due to Innocenti’s quest for perfection, he initially struggled to make his machines profitable. Production of Lambrettas in Italy ceased in 1972 although other countries continued to make them under licence. Sadly, none are now produced. Our wonderful Lambretta poster was recreated from original Innocenti artwork circa 1965 and features a group shot of four Series 3 models. Left to right: a red/white Slimstyle Li150; white Li125; a rare TV 175 (we think, or it may be a 150 Special) and rare gold Jet 200. No self respecting scooter enthusiast will want to miss this fabulous poster which we recreated exactly as per the original. Le Mans - Jaguar D-Type/Dunlop 1956: code 237. Size 840mm x 390mm - 33" x 15½". The first Le Mans was held in May 1923 and was won by Andre Lagache and Rene Leonard in their 3 litre Chenard & Walcker. The race has been held every year except 1936 and the war years. Originally, drivers would run across the track to their cars but this was annulled in 1969 for safety reasons. A horrific accident occurred in 1955 when a Mercedes driven by Pierre Levegh struck an Austin Healey. In the resulting carnage, Levegh and 80 spectators were killed. On a happier note, one year later, Ron Flockhart and Ninian Sanderson of Great Britain took first place in their D-Type Jaguar with an average speed of 104.47mph. Our faithfully recreated poster beautifully captures the spirit and atmosphere of that triumphant occasion. Be sure to view our other Jaguar posters. Special Offer today. Mazda MX5: code 210. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The MX5 was launched in 1989 and was principally modelled on the 1960s Lotus Elan (both cars featured pop-up headlights). The MX5 was small and handled as though it was glued to the road. Fun to drive and easy to handle, it remained largely unchanged – following the Japanese maxim of “why bother to clean the rice if it’s selling briskly?” And as a direct result, during the next fifteen years, 800,000 were sold. The MX5 undoubtedly kick started the motoring fraternity during the early Nineties by putting the fun back into open air driving. You too will derive much fun and pleasure every time you view our faithfully recreated poster. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !

Its 1897cc four-cylinder OHC engine was capable of producing around 105 horsepower and had a top speed of nearly 110 mph. In its best year 4,032 SL's were produced. In its worst year, only 104; most were open roadsters the rest were coupes. Production ceased in 1963. Our superb, high quality poster is an exact recreation of the original. Special Offer today. Mercedes: code 251. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The history of Mercedes began in Germany in the 1880s with two men; Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz - two other men Wilhelm Maybach and Emil Jellinek were also instrumental in the original formation. An amalgamation between Daimler and Benz brought about the original combustion engine with help from Maybach. However, a financial investment by Jellinek brought about the name of Mercedes as his daughter was so named. Cars and trucks were originally built although marine and aircraft engines were also manufactured. The company's logo of a three pointed silver star surrounded by a circle has become the symbol of luxury and Mercedes went on to create a reputation for quality and reliability. This early poster would have promoted the brand name of Mercedes and we have recreated it exactly as per the original. Special Offer today. Porsche 911 SC: code 255. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Since its introduction in 1963 at the Frankfurt Motor Show (it went on sale in 1964) the Porsche 911 has been synonymous with fine precision engineering and fast reliable performance. Indeed, these factors, together with its classic lines, ensured that the 911 was a major success from the start. The SC (Super Carrera) was available from 1978 and with its 2994 cc engine developing 180 h.p., it delivered phenomenal performance. In 1979, the engine was modified and the h.p. increased to 188 which returned ten percent better fuel economy. In 1980 all 911s were up rated to 204 h.p. except export models to the USA. Production of the SC finally ceased in 1983 to make way for the new Carrera in 1984. Our faithfully recreated ‘cutaway’ poster reveals everything that made this car a masterpiece of engineering. Porsche 911 Turbo: code 274. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Porsche launched the 911 Turbo in 1975 (named 930 in USA & Canada). The body shape was highly distinctive with wide wheel-arches (to accommodate the wide tyres) and a large rear spoiler known as a "whale tail" or "tea-tray". It was initially powered by a 3.0-litre engine but in 1978, a 3.3 litre engine was fitted. Demand for the Turbo was so strong that in the late 1980s, Porsche introduced novelty variants including a slant-nose version. In its last production year the 911 Turbo was equipped with a five-speed gearbox which optimised performance just before production finally ceased in 1989. Our superb cutaway poster is an exact recreation of the original and will optimise your collection of Porsche ephemera. Be sure to view our other Porsche posters. Special Offer today. Porsche 924: code 157. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1) Approx. The basic 924 was initially launched in 1976 although special editions like the Martini (1977) and other variants such as the 924 turbo (1978), 924S (1986/7) and Le Mans (1988) were also built. It was the first Porsche to use a water cooled front mounted engine. Interestingly, the 924 was originally commissioned by Volkswagen (co-developed by Porsche). However, Volkswagen cancelled the project so Porsche bought the design and sold it under their own badge thus also making it the first ‘affordable’ Porsche. Production of the 924 ceased in 1988 but this great ‘cutaway’ poster is available for immediate delivery. Be sure to view our other Porsche 924 poster; please see product code No. 277. Porsche 928: code 156. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1) Approx. The Porsche 928 was launched as a ‘Grand Tourer’ in 1977 and was voted ‘Car of the Year’ in 1978. There were several variants such as the 928S, S2, S4, GT & GTS. In 1986, the 928 won the distinction of being the World's Fastest Production Car, earning the Land Speed Record at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The 928 was often referred to as a ‘shark’ due to its shape, pop up headlights and the ability to “eat up miles”. Production of the 928 GTS ceased in 1995 but this great ‘cutaway’ poster is available to buy now. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !
Porsche 944 Turbo: code 211. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The 944 was originally announced in September, 1981 and was the direct descendant of the 924 Carrera series. In mid 1985, 944's underwent their first significant changes and a Turbo Intercooled version was introduced (code named 951). Improved aerodynamics plus a strengthened gearbox, wider wheels and up rated suspension were also implemented. A total of 25,107 944 Turbos were made, with 14,235 being exported to the USA. Porsche also produced 198 versions of the 944 Turbo as Cup racing cars. Our poster is a direct recreation from the original artwork of this excellent sports machine. Footnote: A royalty of $8 per car was paid by Porsche to Mitsubishi for the use of their patented balance shaft technology fitted to every 944 Turbo. Special Offer today. Renault 4: code 158. Size 840mm x 520mm - 33" x 20½" Launched in 1961, the Renault 4 was the original “hatchback” sporting five doors (one at the rear) and a “pull & push” gear stick (similar to that of the Citroen 2CV) which protruded outwards from under the dashboard. In 1962, an R4 was entered in the Monte Carlo Rally … it came last! Over one million models were built by 1966 and in 1977 the five millionth model was produced. Albeit slightly ‘uncool’ at the time, the R4 was undoubtedly a success story from beginning to end. See our other Renault 4 poster too and if you buy both, you’ll pay no shipping charges. Renault 4: code 159. Size 840mm x 520mm - 33" x 20½" The history of the Renault 4 hasn’t stopped. Even today, it still competes in rallies, appears in films and is driven by people all over the world. Just over eight million were manufactured during its 32 year lifespan and together with its counterpart, the Citroen 2CV - which was seen as ‘cool’ - this popular Renault is fast becoming a ‘classic’ in its own right. Sadly, production finally ceased on the 21st December 1994. This poster is identical to the original except (as with all our posters) it's now been printed on heavy, archival, acid free art paper. Renault 4cv: code 177. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1) Production of the 4CV in Britain began in 1949 at Renault’s Acton factory; with its economical 750cc engine, the car was an instant success in the UK. On dry roads, the 4CV handled well, but in the wet, it was akin to driving a bar of soap! When production finally ceased in July 1961, just over one million models had been built worldwide. Our poster has been faithfully recreated from the original artwork and features a family packing for a motoring trip with their Cocker Spaniel. Order this poster and you’ll be cocker hoop! Please see our other 4CV poster (code No. 178). Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !
Renault 4cv: code 178. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1) In 1938, Louis Renault saw a gap in the market for a small, inexpensive family car. His first 4CV prototype appeared in December 1942 but made its debut at the Paris Motor show in 1947 where it caused a storm; customers had to wait two years for delivery of a new model. Our poster, recreated exactly from the original artwork, features a young woman picking wild flowers and gazing adoringly at her 4CV. When you order this poster, we’re sure you’ll gaze at it adoringly too! Please see our other 4CV poster (code No. 177). Special Offer today. Renault 8 Gordini: code 273. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Based on the now defunct Dauphine and launched in 1962 with an angular body style and 956cc engine; the Renualt 8 was seen as a serious, contemporary competitor to the Simca 1000. The Renault 8 Gordini followed in 1964 and was originally only available in blue with two white stripes. The Gordini was powered by a 1108cc engine until 1965 when it now became known as the R8 Major. Subsequently, it was also known as the Renault 10. In 1967, the Gordini received a facelift with two extra headlights and its engine up rated to 1255cc. Production ceased in 1971. Our poster was recreated exactly as per the original showroom poster which would have been displayed in Renault showrooms circa 1964.
Renault A110 Alpine Berlinette: code 196. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). In 1954, Jean Redele founded the Alpine company in France. Working closely with Renault, Redele developed the A110 Berlinette in 1962. By 1968, Alpine achieved success in rallying and was allocated the whole Renault competition budget. In 1971 Alpine achieved a 123 win in the Monte Carlo rally using cars with engines derived from the Renault R16. In 1973, they repeated the 123 Monte Carlo results and also won the World Rally championship beating Porsche, Lancia and Ford. A110s were never officially imported into the UK, partly due to the trademark infringement of the name ‘Alpine’ which was owned by the Sunbeam Motor company. From 1962 to 1977, Alpine built a total of 10,000 models worldwide. Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !
Renault Alpine 310: code 245. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Launched in 1971 with a rear mounted 1.6 - 4 cylinder engine, the Renault Alpine 310 was restyled by Robert Opron in 1976 and up rated with a powerful V6 engine capable of 130mph. The futuristic design of the 310 was obviously not lost on John DeLorean and certainly, his ill fated DMC-12 gull-wing cars bore striking resemblances. Alpine Renault continued to develop the 310 during the 1980s and it evolved into their GTA range. The 310 was considered to be vastly under rated and problems with the name of Alpine (Sunbeam UK owned the Alpine trademark) meant that sales in the UK were hampered. Our fabulous poster has been recreated exactly as per the original and is an absolute ‘must have’ for all Alpine enthusiasts. Renault Caravelle 1100 Convertible: code 197. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The Renault 845cc Caravelle (or Floride as it was originally called) was a rear engined sports coupe launched in 1959. Three body variations were offered: a permanent hardtop, a convertible and a convertible with detachable hardtop. In 1962 a new 956cc engine was fitted. By 1963, 177,122 Caravelle coupes and cabriolets had been sold, mainly to women because of its lightweight handling. In 1964 the engine was up-rated to 1100cc. The second-generation Caravelle was designed as a 2+2 and two passengers could be squeezed into the rear seat. Production ceased in 1968. Renault Dauphine: code 209. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The rear-engined 4-door Dauphine was launched in 1956 to replace the highly successful Renault 4CV. The Dauphine was originally intended to be called The Corvette, but the name was changed to Dauphine (the female form of the French feudal title of Dauphin) to avoid confusion with the recently-launched Chevrolet Corvette. Production ceased in 1968 after a total of 2 million models had been sold. Renault also developed a Dauphine Coupe and even a convertible called the Floride. Dauphines were economical and reliable but prone to corrosion and because of this, not too many survive. Our nostalgic poster features a Dauphine with a wonderful mountain village backdrop and is a timely reminder of French motoring history. Special Offer today. Renault Elegance: code 130. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). The scene used here is pure "theatre of the mind" imagery. Renault must have jumped for joy when their advertising agency produced this superb illustration back in 1936. The original and very rare artwork for this poster was in such bad condition that our graphic designer had to spend many long hours on a computer sympathetically cleaning and renovating the image. Now completely restored to its original beauty, you can enjoy it exactly how it was meant to be. One of our most popular posters, don't pass this one by! Special Offer today. Renault Stella: code 129. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). A very simple, stark but highly effective Art Deco image which would have been used to promote the brand name of Renault. The lines representing speed are fused into a gold star which we have faithfully re-created using lithographic gold as an extra colour. This poster will look absolutely stunning if you hang it on a light coloured wall and will certainly give you much enjoyment every time you gaze. The original was produced in 1931. Rendezvous DVD: code 134. Terrifying yet absolutely compulsive - this exhilarating, legendary drive with its surprise ending through beautiful 70s Paris has been shrouded in myths since its first release. Was French director Claude Lelouch really arrested when it was first shown? Was it a Formula 1 driver in the driving seat? Was an iconic Ferrari 275 GTB used? Lelouch's electrifying 9 minutes' drive has to be seen to be believed. No car chase on film has, or ever will, come close. The reality of NO special effects, NO edits and NO blocking off streets is absolutely terrifying. Real edge of the seat viewing; the driver ignores red lights, other cars and just slams down his right foot! Remember, this is real and raw action, no stunt drivers and everything filmed in ONE take (no edits). Your jaw will drop to your ankles ... if you can bear to watch that is!! Riley 1.5: code 155. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1) In 1957, the Wolseley 1500 and Riley 1.5 were launched. Initially, both were seen as replacements for the Morris Minor. The Riley was sportier and slightly dearer than the Wolseley. Both cars looked alike, although each had its own style front grille. Standard equipment included leather seats, wood trim & optional two-tone paint schemes. The Riley's 1489cc engine gave a sports saloon feel and a top speed of 85mph returned 27mpg. Production ceased in 1965 (39,568 models had been built). Note the BEA (British European Airways) insignias on the parked aircraft. This poster is an exact recreation of the original. Be sure to view our other Riley 1.5 poster (code No. 180). Special Offer today. Buy 2 or more posters from us and your shipping will be FREE !
Riley 1.5: code 180. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1) The motoring name of Riley reveals a chequered history. In 1890, William Riley began by making cycles, then motorbikes, cars and even aeroplane engines. Subsequent to a merger with BMC, the Nuffield Organisation purchased the Riley name for £1. Positioned between MG and Wolseley, most Riley models were actually re-badged versions of Austin/Morris designs. Potential purchasers would have been enticed by the original of this poster proudly displayed in BMC showrooms, circa 1960, when a new Riley 1.5 was £714. The glamour of a polo match and ownership of this car was obviously synonymous in the mind of the original illustrator. This wonderfully evocative poster will look truly glamorous hanging wherever you choose. Why not order this today? Be sure to view our other Riley 1.5 poster (code No. 155). Special Offer today. Riley Pathfinder: code 179. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1) The 2.5 litre Pathfinder is fondly remembered as the last genuine Riley as it was the last model to use a true Riley engine. With a top speed of 100 mph, it was widely used by British police. Launched in 1953 and available in black, maroon, green, blue or grey; production continued until 1957. The car in the background is a 1½ litre RME. The original poster, featuring this evocative illustration of a mountain pass, would have hung in dealers’ showrooms circa 1953. Triumph Spitfire 1500: code 225. Size 840mm x 595mm - 33" x 23½" (A1). Two years before the end of the Mk IV production, Triumph introduced the 1,493cc engine for the US market. British Leyland originally planned to keep the Spitfire in production until 1982 but in 1980, realised that the old Triumph 1,500cc engine wouldn't meet new Californian emissions regulations. Half Spitfire sales were to California, so production halved and became uneconomical. The last Spitfire 1500, an Inca Yellow model, rolled off the assembly line at Canley, Coventry in August 1980. It was never sold and is now in the British Motor Heritage museum at Gaydon, Warwickshire. The name Spitfire was first used for the famous WW2 fighter plane; it’s unknown whether Standard-Triumph originally obtained permission to use the name. However, as Leyland used images of the fighter plane for advertising their sports car, it’s highly likely that permission was granted especially as Standard-Triumph actually produced Spitfire aircraft parts in WW2. In June 1936, the British government placed an order for 310 Spitfire aircraft to be constructed. The Mk 1 had a top speed of 362 mph and became known as the ‘Defender of the Skies’. One of the finest fighter aircraft of all time, a total of 20,531 were built and is credited as having a major impact in winning WW2. The last Spitfire was built in 1947.
