| Established
in 1975, we’ve been publishing Classic Car Showroom Posters
for over thirty years. Most of our posters and prints have been
faithfully reprinted from the initial artwork or printer’s
plates which were used to print the originals; so we like to
think of ours as “authentic recreations”.
To
us, each of our posters represents a remarkable “Time
Capsule” of Motoring History. For example, this image
of the Jaguar XK 150 epitomises a motoring adventure …
freedom … glamour … excitement. And you can almost
smell the wood and leather interior as you open the door …
remember those Magical Motoring Moments?
Most
showroom posters weren’t produced in large numbers.
Car manufacturers would send a few to their dealerships to
entice customers to buy the new car of their dreams. Original
posters were mostly printed on flimsy paper as their life
expectancy wasn’t long; after they’d been used,
the dealer would usually throw them out. So, few have survived
in good condition, most are usually brown with age or damaged.
Even
original posters from the Seventies are quite rare. We’ve
never seen another one of these V12 E-type posters; possibly
we have the only surviving original example … unless
you know better?
We
genuinely believe that our “recreations” are far
superior to the originals. We only use acid free, museum quality,
heavy art paper and to ensure the finest quality possible,
our posters are printed on traditional, litho presses. The
result is that our posters impart rich, true colours and they
won’t yellow with age.
Our
original stock of posters from 1975 sold out long ago. The
only exception is the Austin Seven Garage Chart which we’ve
now been selling for over thirty years and it still continues
to sell well - see product code No. 120. Our
old 1975 posters often sell on eBay and make £60+. As
these would have cost £1.50 in ’75, it surely
proves that our posters are an extremely good investment!

BIG HAIR DAY Circa 1975. Maggie the Morris,
John Yonge and Wife. Maggie, my wonderful Morris
Minor, was sadly consigned to the junk yard and
thankfully, my bushy hairstyle has also been dispensed
with. The original wife disappeared as well. I
really miss her . . . Maggie, not the wife. |

Obviously,
we can’t guarantee that our posters will always increase
in value but we can guarantee that you’ll gain much
pleasure every time you view; because each one uniquely comes
with its own Magical Motoring Moment.
Over
the years, many people have written to us with glowing testimonials
after purchasing our posters … space and modesty forbids
reproducing them all here but maybe you’ll forgive just
this one...
We’re
always interested in purchasing original Motoring Showroom
Posters. If you have one, or even a collection, please do
get in touch.
